Opportunity
Despite steady new signups, Univid found users weren’t activating key features during initial sessions. Traditional product tours had low completion rates, with most users exiting early. The tours were also difficult to maintain, requiring updates after UI changes. As a lean team serving hundreds of customers worldwide through PLG, Univid needed scalable onboarding beyond FTE limitations — ensuring users reached first value.
Solution
Univid partnered with Saltfish to launch a personalized, in-product video experience. New users are greeted by Jonathan (CEO and Co-Founder) in short video sequences introducing core value — creating interactive webinars quickly — with real-time visual highlighting of essential features.
The experience offers a choice: explore independently or follow a guided path to go live, blending trust, clarity, and interactivity from the first seconds.
Outcome
Results were immediate. Users watched 5× more content despite videos being 5–8 seconds long.
